Chalo Bus Travel Plan Purchase And Usage Terms And Conditions
- Chalo Bus Travel Plans (“Plan(s)”) are travel plans offered by Chalo Mobility Private Limited (“Chalo”) on behalf of the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (“BEST”) for travel by the luxury city buses operated by Chalo and marketed or otherwise identified by Chalo as ‘Chalo Buses’ (“Chalo Bus(es)”).
- Each Plan is meant for use only by the individual to whom it is issued (“Plan Holder”). Plans are non-transferable.
- These Plans entitle the Plan Holder to a specified number of rides on Chalo Buses, during a specified period, on the specified routes, and for the specified bus stops or travel distance indicated at the time of purchase.
- These Plans are valid for travel only on Chalo Buses.
- The purchase of such Plans is purely voluntary.
- All Plans once issued or paid for are non-refundable.
- Once a Plan is issued, it is automatically applied to any eligible rides booked by the Plan Holder.
- Purchase of a Plan does not guarantee the Plan Holder a seat on a specific Chalo Bus service. Plan Holders must book their seats in advance via the Chalo App. Seats are available on a first-come first-served basis. Plan Holders without a booked seat shall not be allowed to board.
- Plan Holders are required to validate their booking upon boarding a Chalo Bus on the electronic validators installed in the bus, and to display their booking on their mobile device upon demand by Chalo or any of its representatives. Plan Holders are responsible for ensuring that their mobile device is in good working condition and has sufficient power for the duration of their journey. Plan Holders that are unable to validate their booking or display their booking on demand shall be treated as ticketless travellers.
- The Plan Holder is obligated to produce a government issued photo identification document upon demand by Chalo or any of its representatives to prove their identity. A passenger who cannot prove their identity as the Plan Holder shall be treated as a ticketless traveller.
- Ticketless travellers shall be asked to de-board immediately and penalised as per applicable rules.
- Each Plan is valid only for one concurrent ride. For example, if the Plan holder books a ride starting at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m., they cannot book any other ride that overlaps with this time window.
- Chalo reserves the right to suspend any Plan at any time, and to bar a user from purchasing a new Plan or renewing their Plan, upon suspicion of fraudulent or unfair use without any notice whatsoever. Refunds will not be provided in such cases.
- Plans offering unlimited rides are initially limited to a maximum of (a) 10 rides per day, and (b) 200 rides during the Plan period to prevent misuse. The Plan Holder must email Chalo at contact@chalo.com to have these limits extended once they are fully utilised.
- Plans cannot be used on any other mobile device other than the device used to initially purchase them. If the Plan Holder wishes to transfer their plan to another mobile device, they must email Chalo at contact@chalo.com. Plan Holders shall only be allowed to transfer their plans to another device once per month in order to prevent misuse.
- Any marketing communication indicating a price per ride may be based on assumptions regarding ride consumption. Such communications are purely illustrative in nature and not binding on Chalo or any of its representatives.
- Chalo shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage whatsoever that may be suffered, or for any personal injury that may be suffered, as a result of availing these Plans.
- Chalo reserves the right to modify prices, to halt sales, to withdraw, and / or alter any / all of the terms and conditions of Plans at any time without prior notice.
- Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Plans shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai only.
- By availing the Plan, the Plan Holder accepts these terms and conditions as specified above in toto.
